51 HOURS/The Residents Q1)
Is this a bootleg from the Vault or a B-Side on the Diamonds & Pearls album? Prince contributes very little vocally to the song (outside of the hook), but it is Diamonds & Pearls (the duo) singing. Q2) Also, i downloaded (some time ago) an alternate version of 1999 called "The Residents". I am curious about this song because: a) The "performer" slowed down the melody to 1999. b) The song is "spoken" in an altered voice...not the Vader voice from Rainbow Children, but a voice similar to the one Prince used on "Peace" during the introduction. c) It is not on 1999: The New Master" and the download title was The Residents, but it uses the lyrics, melody, and everything else from 1999. ANy help would be appreciated. Thanks "Old man's gotta be the old man. Fish has got to be the fish." | |
