great solo one of the best guitar solos by prince ever,very emotional ,played with a great feeling.

i think prince showed us ,
with this guitar solo that he can ripp
into 4 minute extended guitar solo... and still, be intersting to listen to through the whole time.,

why?

prince runs through the large amount of tehnics that are essential part of his trademark style.
also i must admit more secure and "cleaner" then ever before

why :nice guitar work with the lots of delay .
with this one i bet he cought attention of many musicians and people who like guitar.
also his very first extended guitar solo


west (ending part) rate:10

why: after the 8 minute in the song prince rips into one of his best and ubelivable solos.
maybe more creative solo then just my imagination.

combination of passion ,tehnic and creativity.
just listen how prince builds tension with microphony at the beging of this epic solo.

why :perfect solo for a very nice song.
intersting part :fast runs in the middle of the solo.

so far so pleased :7 why:realy ok solo probobly the best he did at that time of period

xpedition rate:8 why :nice adventure in fusion music area.prince shown us his liking for on the corner miles davis period.

she spoke to me rate 9 why:great jazz guitar solo.is this guy for real.
is he rock or jazz guitar player.
was he possesed with a spirit of grant green???

a million days rate 8 why:not complicated but very well crafted.

why you wanna treat me so bad rate 8 why:prince's firs realy focussed guitar solo.
perfect solo for a pop song.


pink cashmire rate 4 why :nothing special ,prince didnt realy try.
many other players would add better to this song,prince including.

cream rate 8 why :not realy a guitar solo but rather very nice fills by prince

free rate :7 why :a bit sloppy but still intersting solo.

computer blue rate :10 why imortal melody apsolutley perfect

when doves cry rate:10 for the solo 10+ for the intro

purple rain(album version)...first song that displayed Prince' guitar abilities to broad audience...8.5/10

not by prince.

i have choosen those solos randomly.
some i like more ,some less.
get ready for part 2.
