i saw Prince performing Electric Chair on SNL and wondered who the girl dancing to his right was and who is Patrice? (it was written on the side of the blue piano in the back).

Patrice Rushen...keyboardist. She is probably 10+ years Prince's elder. He did some session work for her (even playing bass on her hit "Forget Me Not") and had a crush on her at the time (Prince was in his late teens or early 20's.

when was that, like 89, maybe 90 ? he had her name on his piano, and was with kim bassinger ? i ain't mad at 'im. last i had heard about her was when i feel 4 u was released by chaka. they always mentioned how prince wrote that as a demo 4 patrice, seeing as how he had a huge crush on her then. how many, then, are these sexually driven songs about patrice ? makes u go hhmmmmm.....
