Who actually liked "Greatest Romance" as the Rave single?

Greatest Romance was always quite an interesting musical statement to me, strange and beautiful, cynical and romantic... I was really glad it was the single and not something lame like Baby Knows... and I mean So Far, So Pleased was good, but it was really more of a Gwen featuring prince song than the other way around. What do you think?

I thought it was a good tune. Catchy. but I guess it just wasn't the right pace for pop at the time.

I like the tempo of this song, it's like dancing in slow motion by candle light. I sense some element of melancholy in it that gives way to the sarcasm of some of the lyrics.

I thought it was a decent song, but a poor single choice.

If he would have released "Prettyman" as a single, I'm sure it would have probably sold a bit more, maybe...

i liked it, I remember it started playing on the radio in the fall, so everytime I hear it, it reminds me of those great winter holidays (X-mas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, my birthday) biggrin
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Song just didn't stand out on the radio...too many layers for the casual listener and anticlimatic after the huge comeback talk. The delay in the video didn't help. Good song, poor single, bad marketing...this album could have been a contender but was up against too much.
