I just shelled out on the 2 lovesexy concert's on vhs and they should be with me in due time, can anyone tell me how this compares with the sott concert/movie as if its anything close to that in quality i will be one happy man.

Except for 'i wish you heaven', where his voice falters and he pulls some fucked up faces, it's a masterpiece, imo.

It's great hearing : "Holland! Holland!" and "Ole ole ole oleeee" and this in Germany!

Show is very cool, should be on dvd, let's hope it will be one day soon.

Don't expect Sign o' the Times, though. This one doesn't benefit from the movie-style that SOTT has. Because of this, it comes off as much more raw, but also more 'legit', if you know what I mean.

If you can, make sure you watch it in the right order; Part Two is actually the first half of the concert (beginning with Erotic City), while Part One is the second half (beginning with Cat dancing to some Ingrid Chavez poetry).

Just hearing Ingrid Chavez's spoken intro - over Clare Fischer's f*cktastic strings - I'm burning rubber in my pants. It's phenomenal. If I'd actually been there, I think I'd have exploded with excitement!

It is actually taped from a television show, so it would be more discribed as a second generation tape.

The sound is not great stereo, but it sounds fine. The concert is amazing, but the one flaw is that Prince's falsetto is scratchy. He must of had a bad night.

Is this really Prince's best tour? I mean, yes, I've heard it's fantastic, but I've also heard it's a little too rehearsed in comparison to some of his other tours.

Yea i clocked it on ebay a few times, unfortunately i am banned from ebay, thus the vhs purchase. Got them pretty cheap anyways so not to bothered. Looking forward 2 it now.

its great, most songs are short, lot of medleys

I got mine on DVD and the quality is great. Perfect sound and picture. Great concert, but I like SOTT more.

Excellent show...YES, the Lovesexy tour was his best tour for the OVERALL EXPERIENCE. You had to be there to fully appreciate the stage setup, radical re-arrangements on songs, passion-play like theatrics, musicianship, and theme of the concert.

This VHS is a very good representation of the tour (WAY moreso than the One Nite Alone DVD fiasco). The primary negative in the production is that the guitar had a mechanical problem during "Anna Stesia" so the tape does NOT include his blistering solo.

Worth what you pay for it.

Watched it a zillion times when I first got it on vhs. I let it rest for awhile and now I got it on DVD in the last year it still makes me shake my head in awe. People who say his voice was off are tripping, he hits a note in If I had a Harem that amazes me every time I hear it. He plays like a demon and spins like a dervish, has the most kick ass band on fantastic staging with a brilliant lighting show in front of an ecstatic knowledgable crowd.

But even with that they got through it very well. There's just some about the whole vibe of that show that's perfect. (IMHO)
