I totally agree.'The Black Album' is funky and fun,but there's not much substance to it.'Lovesexy' is a much more inspired album with at least one track that can truly be called a classic: "Anna Stesia".None of the 'Black Album' songs are classics, imo.

ten Lovesexy is the 1. Despite my LOVE for Rockhard in a Funky Place When people talked about Rockhard In A Funky Place I expected it to be fast but it's such a slow track. So great! Is there any bad Camille track? I have yet to hear Rebirth of the Flesh so I don't know yet? If you will, so will I

It's fair enough you don't like the music on the album - but I really don't know how you can call it bland. A bland album to me is one where all the songs sound the same - you just can't say that the tracks on this album all sound the same. The downturn in Prince's fortunes actually came straight after Purple Rain - that was a such a peak, that everything was essentially downhill from there. Sign O' The Times, while much loved now, got mixed reviews and didn't sell particularly massively. All Lovesexy did was continue the downward trend - a trend that was really only halted by Diamonds & Pearls, commercially wise. I think it contains some of the most inventive and dynamic production of his career, remastered it would be stunning. Come to think of it, most of them would - but that's another subject.

The Black Album wins with me as well -- hands down. It's one of my favorite Prince albums. On the other hand, I've never been much of a fan of Lovesexy.

Aye, I think MOST Orgers would like to do that with NPS. Prince really should bring out a range in homeware. I want a doorbell that scares the sh*t out of people when you ring it. 'Aaaaoooowahh'. Or (Prince whispering): "Welcome to the Door".

I prefer Lovesexy,
but i also think they could have been the chance to make a kick ass classic double album between the 2 of them. Heaven vs Hell kind of thing,(i read that somewhere here) Good vs Bad.
