I am getting some gifts for my nephews (9 & 12) and I want to include some music as an extra. I am torn between ATWIAD and Parade. I like Parade Better and think there is more to listen to on the album, but the cover of ATWIAD is more appealing. I know I should buy content over cover, however I'd like it to actually get a spin and not thrown up on a shelf somewhere. I suppose I should add that I am getting St Peppers as well.

I am basically not labelling what is for who and they can just pick for themselves. The other gifts I AM labeling, but I don't want to impose any particular music on either. I just can't get them anything that is out today as most of it sucks and is inappropriate for kids.

Depends on his age.

If he's really young, then ATWIAD.

If he's older, PARADE.

Both albums are about vaginas, but ATWIAD at least tries to throw in a spiritual aspect about it. In Parade, it's vaginas & cocks, then one of the cocks dies in the last song leaving you with owerwhelming vaginal vibes. Not good for youngsters.

Parade. It was my first Prince album and I was 7. I liked it and the rest is history.
