Rarest and Most Valuable CD: Prince

In Sunday July 17th's Jerry Osborne's column (He's a 'dear Abby' of Music collecting and has a weekly newspaper column), Jerry lists the ten most valuable CD's.

Title of article: '93 Prince CD has $5000 Value.

Question: I own several hundred CD's and I'm wondering if any CD's are now Valuable? Question from Wisconsin.

Answer: (edited down) Listed Alphabetically, a Cd's value depends on it's rarity.

1. Tori Amos "Precious Things" 1992 3-track promo picture disc Value $400-$600
2. Coldplay "The Safety EP" 1998 UK Issue 3-track, 500 made to give to fans. Value $1000 to $1500
3. Mylene Farmer "Pardonne Moi" 2002 Promo disc Sandwiched between two laser-etched glass, one track, 150 made Value $1000-$1500.
4. Elton John and Larry Adler "Someone to Watch Over Me" labeled "A Gift from Lalique", this 1994 Promo came out with "Elton's Singing Angel", a crystal cherub. Value $750-$1000
5. Nirvana "Penny Royal Tea" Uk Promo 1994 CD intended for the media but was cancelled. One track, but not the regular CD version of the track from "In Utero". U.S. version has track listed as "Pennyroyal Tea" Value $1500-$2000
6. Pet Shop Boys "Totally" From Japan, 1988 11-track promo CD Value $2000 to $2500
7. Elvis Presley "Elvis' Gold Records, Volume 2, 50,000,000 fans can't be wrong". U.S. Promotional item 50 of which exist. Instead of the standard test and track listing, has only "Sample" printed on a picture disc. Value $1000 - $1500
8. PRINCE 'MY NAME WAS PRINCE' 1993 issue made in Japan for Media, among world's most valuable CD. Value $4500-$5000
9. Bruce Springsteen "The Future of Rock and Roll". Another Promo-only release from Japan, 1988 Double CD, Disc 1 has 14 trax from the 70's, Disc 2 has 16 trax from the 80's. Value $1800 - $2200.
10. Rolling Stones "Steel Wheels Japan Tour, Feb 1990" Created for Media for that tour with 22 tracks on 2 discs. Includes a 1990 Japan tour poster. Value $4400 - $4600.

Jerry Osborne goes on to list the ten most expensive Boxed Sets, from the 20 CD "Ultimate Queen Collection" to the 21-CD "Frank Sinatra - The Capitol Years" set and the 50-CD "Original Elvis Presley collection".

I wonder if he's heard of the three "Hit and Run" CD singles?? These are Official Releases he's listing. Not sure where he got the values for each, please don't flame if you don't disagree.
