Visiting MPLS, whats there to see?

hey all,

please help me. I am visiting Minneapolis just for a day and a night (next week) and i am a long time Prince fan. What is there to see nowadays?

1. Can I visit Paisley Park?

2. Can I go to First Avenue? (i will be there on a Monday unfortunately)

3. Is there anything else I should see?

I know someone else asked this recently but I would love to know...

I am an Aussie, and I have never had the chance to go to MPLS before... I missed the Celebrations, but I have been a fan for over 20 years..> I have alot of Prince collectibles and see him in concert about 10 times...

THANKS!!!

biggrin biggrin biggrin

Paisley Park isn't open to visits.

You can check out First Avenue activity at the official website:

(There appears to be Evan Dando performing at 'The Entry' that night).

Thanks yes I saw that. Seems a bit weird to see him there and pay $20 to hear him sing his Lemonhead songs...

I read in the FAQ that you can't visit PP, but I just thought I would ask...

Oh well, one day, I will hopefully see inside PP. That would be cool.

At least I can drive past McDonalds and smell it like P used to before he had money.

Thanks anyway.

There is always the Mall of America. If you haven't been there, it's worth the trip trust me.

The Walker Art Center and Sculpture Garden--if you're into contemporary art.

www.walkerart.org
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
