That night was awesome once he came out he rocked it from beginning 2 end and it was cool seeing him wear some of his Prince signature clothing that night, after seeing him in suits 4 the whole One Nite Alone tour, Bambi was amazing and also Whole Lotta Love, not 2 mention Elephants and Flowers, All The Critics Love U In New York, Calhoun Square songs I never thought I'd see live, and I think the performance of The One/Fallin' that night was the best I've seen him do it, he really gave it his all that night, it's hard 2 believe it's been 3 yrs. already, I can still smell the incense

Great night, great performance.
He brought down the house with this jam... as well as the ones NPG2045 mentioned. 3 years already? Where does the time go? Lovesexy Funkateer

I was thinking that same thing as you just the other day.. I too was at the 2002 Celebration and I still cannot believe it was three years ago now. That was such an incredible week. I thank God I was able to make it there that year.

It was my most exciting Prince event to date.
Especially that night in particular. A great time, eith the thunderstorms and humid weather outside and the peaceful atmosphere inside Paisley Park with all those nice people I met. Something In the Water was my personal highlight cause it´s one of my favorite songs. I usually like the darker versions of this song, but this totally re-arranged and breezy version was a nice change and BIG surprise. Bambi was also cool, very intense and with complete lyrics. I wish he´d still sing all the lyrics to When You Were Mine. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

memories! misty water colored memories!
oh...I wish I had better memories of the seperate nights...for me it all kinda blends together sometimes...00,01 and 02. I remember seeing him do Bambi for the first time I ever saw him do it at the 01 celebration concert in St.Paul...I freaked the F out when he started playing that! "not a fan" yeah...ok

I thought he didn't actually use the word 'bleed' that night. He sings that verse but I remember that it didn't rhyme. Something like
Bambi, I know what you need Bambi, it's better with a man I think he did sing 'bleed' at another aftershow on the European leg of the tour (Paris?)

he sings"i know what you need ,maybe you need to bleed"/ I just heard a recording from that night, from the Xenophobia set. He definitely doesn't say bleed. Listen again.

no you listen again
at the end of the song ,after he screams and says "i know what you need, maybe you need to bleed" he screams that but it's obvios that he says that.it wasnt the only time he did that. on rotterdame aftershow and paris after show he does the same. paisley celebration 2002 was maybe the only time he sang all the lyrics to bambi/

The song lasts 5:30 before going into Whole Lotta Love. At 5:14, he sings the final line of the song: "Bambi I know what you need / Bambi, IT'S BETTER WITH A MAN"
