Graffiti Bridge - The Album

It seems like on the Prince boards that there's controversy about this album.

Some people liked it and some people thought it sucked because they thought it

was full of filler but for those who do like it or don't think it is total

crap (you can find it as a punch out now in bargain bins) what song or songs

do you think are actually good? I myself think Still Would Stand All Time is

a great song and the emotional centerpiece of the album and movie.
"Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

I think it's a decent album, does have some filler.

The Question of U,We Can Funk and Joy In Repitition are fan favorites here and rightfully so. Elephants and Flowers is a personal favorite too though I didn't care for the performance in the movie of it.

So you've heard concert or live versions of Elephants and Flowers huh?

That must be cool. I like We Can Funk I suppose but when listened to against

the original unreleased version I think it pales in comparison.

Actually, I was refering to the lip-synched performance of E&F that's the same as the soundtrack but yes, I've heard a rare live version and it didn't disappoint.

As for We Can Funk,it seems that most people prefer the original version too.

Snap

There's at least 9 songs on this album that would've classified it as a classic must-have Prince album in the previous decade.

1. Can't Stop This Feeling I Got
2. New Power Generation
3. Question of U
4. Elephants and Flowers
5. We Can Funk
6. Joy in Repetition
7. Tick, Tick, Bang
8. Thieves in the Temple
9. Still Would Stand All Time

That's one fine album right there!! nod

Damn, that's pretty nice aside from Tick, Tick, Bang.

Yeah, GB really feels like a tale of two albums to me.

There's the collection of brilliant songs like Question, Joy, E&P, SWTAT, etc. and then this polar opposite with songs like Tick, Tick, Bang.
The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.
