We all know that Prince has toured a heckuva lot since he started as a solo

artist which got me to wondering since all his live performances that are

floating around that people have copies of are considered boots why is it

that he had never released official audio copies of hardly any of the shows?

He could master them and make them sound great and release them and then fans

could have official copies. He could make oogles of money (which we see he

doesn't really need anymore but hey I guess it would'nt hurt) and fans would

have great copies of some great shows on cd. I just started thinking about

it and wonder why he's never done it.

I'm guessing its because he is a major control freak. It would take at least 2 years after any concert was finished to master it enough to put it out on the market. Not to mention, after he was done, it would sound more like a studio album. Perfectionists are not the best at spontinaity.

I remember when i went to the musicology concert in raleigh nc they videotaped the show and then played at the after'party'. I asked NPGMC if we could get a copy sometime (especially since over and over i could see me in the shots even the pinstripes in my suite ) but they said no, it's for Ps personal use.
