Hello 2freaky! wave

Crystal Ball is a set of cd's I certainly have not given a lot of time to. I have listened to The Truth quite a bit though.
I'm firmly planted in denial

Crystal Ball is in my top 5 favorite albums! I love it
but don't try to tackle all the CDs at once!

Thats what I did with Emancipation and it was years
before I could fully appreciate that. Just take it one cd at
a time. It'll help you get through this "no new music" period biggrin
If you will, so will I

Part of the problem with projects like that is it requires nearly three hours of your life to accomplish. You youngin's don't have the kind of maturity required to sit through the whole thing at once so I'd just forget it.

It's a lot of music to digest all at once.
Take your time and concentrate on listening to one at a time and see if it grows on you. Some of P's music is like that.
I had to do this with Emancipation too.

I can get lost in the variation of this set. Especially if it's on for background music it can feel like your in the room with him. Unreahearsed kind if thing but entertaining. There's lots of amazing guitar work going on and much will catch you by surprise if you take the time.

It's worth the listen and may take some discipline, since you've had it for a while and never listened to it all the way through. Start with Disc II...you will love it and the rest of them, once you give them a thorough listen.

When I got Emancipation, I couldn't listen to the whole thing at first because it was all new music. It took a while to digest the whole thing.

But when Crystal Ball came out I listened to the whole thing in one sitting without a problem. I think the reason for this is that I knew so many of the songs already. It was just so exciting to hear clean versions of the songs. Even though there were obnoxious remixes, I think the collection is wonderful. The Truth is a great dessert after taking in the first three discs.
