What If Prince Had Never Told You.... A couple questions that have been on my mind:
What if Prince had never told you he was not going to cuss anymore, just stopped doing it? Would it have bothered you as much? What if Prince had never made any mention in word or deed that he was following the JW faith, just elected not to play some of his "rawer" material in favor of more PG-friendly fare? What if he had said he was cleaning up his act so that folks could feel comfortable bringing their kids to the show so they could see a "real" concert? (He actually did say this, but way after the moral/religious reasons were announced.) Does it piss you off more to know full well before you even get to the concert that you won't be hearing Darling Nikki or would it be worse to show up expecting certain songs and finding them missing? Personally, I think it made it worse to make a big announcement about it all. If he'd never said anything, sure we'd notice and discuss, but we'd probably just chalk it up to Prince being Prince for his own reasons. Announcing it made it final (or as final as anything he does) and got everyone all riled up. What ya'll think? I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here. | |

Hmm...actually, it's beetter for him to tell us...that saves him time explaining...and us learning about it.
If he had never told us...ppl would question....he'd eventually tell us why.....and now...WE'RE IN THE SAME PREDICAMENT!  | |

I think I probably wouldn't notice the absence of swearing thing. As for the missing dirty songs...I probably would notice that because so many of his songs have dirty words or are sexual in nature.
But I'm glad he told us why. I really like it when Prince lets us in.  | |
