I just ran across this CJ column at the StarTribune website, and I don't remember it having been posted here yet (apologies if it was and I missed it):


Prince kicks up heels

Prince was reportedly in a playful mood when he got off a Minneapolis-to-L.A. flight landing at LAX.

Jennifer Waltman, who identified herself as working for a local financial services company and someone "who's always [ragging on] the crazy people who tell you stuff," couldn't resist telling me about her Symbolina sighting.

She was trying to return to the Twin Cities from LAX in the wake of the air traffic jam created by President Bush's visit to the Twin Cities. LAX travelers were extremely peeved by the delays, according to Waltman.

"I swear, you would have died," said Waltman. "He came off the plane [in] this turquoise tunic that came down to cover his little bum and then really tight-fitting pants. It was gorgeous. And these shoes, oh, I would have died for these shoes. They were high. At least 5 inches, and they were wedges. I was a little surprised to see a man in wedge heels." Prince is famously comfortably in touch with his feminine side. "Yes, he is. And his hair was curled so beautifully. He did look beautiful; and he didn't have his glasses on, so you could actually see his eyes. He looked beautiful. But he waited until somebody noticed who he was. Everybody was too crabby; I don't think people were paying attention. He stopped for a minute, and then when everybody saw him and a little kid screamed, then he literally skipped, SKIPPED, trotting like a horse down the way." His security guy had to sprint after him.

Skipping? "Weird. I mean, I read in your column that he's weird," she said. "But he is WEIRD."

He's weird but interesting? "Very much. I giggled a great deal. It lightened the mood very much," said Waltman.

Skipping away in an airport. Gotta love that man. He marches (skips) to the beat of his own drummer.

What does that chick write about when Prince isn't around? Anything?

I guess what I really want to know is, does anyone read her column when Prince isn't mentioned or do you read it just to see if she's got something to say about Prince?

I know she's built her following on dissin' Prince, but after that, what else is there?

I'm new here...Why does this woman hold a grudge with P? WTF?

Because she is a nut job just like Prince. I would not pay to much attention to the CJ lovers on this board.

She once printed an actual run in she had with Prince. He asked her if he had ever dated her or pissed her off in some way. I got the impression that he does not take her seriously but that does not stop her stupid ass from writing about him. (LOL).

Dude hardly gets mentioned in other news columns.
