1 of my favorite Prince songs, what do ya'll think of the song, the whole concept in all. This is funny about every time I play it every1 wonders and asked "Who do U hate!". They always assumed I hated some1, an ex-girlfriend or whatever. That always made me laugh. When I say no1 they never believe me, they think a woman broke my heart and Hated her with a passion. Anyway what do ya'll think of the song Hate U. Has this ever happen 2 U, Or really played it when hated some1 but still loved them at the same time.

I love it. the way way he fights his feelings, and finally admits "i love you" at the end, Brilliant.

the entire concept is great. The complete P package. guitar, musiacally, and his voice when he sings: "Your honour...may I please call to the stand/ my one and only witness"

this song made me cry the first time i heard it and so has a few people ive played it for.

If you ever had a love cheat on you, and you ended it out of pride only to feel like you made the wrong choice, and now she wont take you back...(its never happened to me ) you will be moved by this song to say the least.

he must have wrote this around the time when the O.J. trial was going on, because the whole court concept

The concept is gritty, real, sexy and, brilliant! No one else can go there but Prince. I cry still when I hear it. Totally have to be alone when I turn it on.

It starts and he says, " I never thought that u would be the one. After all the things that we've been through..." His heart is broken and is in disbelief. But he knows she fucked up, " Did u do to ur other man the same things that u did to me?" He's angry and Hates her for it but, "Right now I hate u so much I wanna make Love until u see. That its killing me baby 2 b without u..." DAMN! its sexy as hell imo cos u know he just wants to take her out of Love, anger, lust and , vendication, " Anything 2 make u see...That Ur gonna miss me... Ur gonna miss me..."

Don't even get me started on the guitar solo. It makes me think that in the middle of the 'cross examination' he decided to "use the rod" anyway. The whole time he's telling her, " i hate u, because I love u. But I can't love u, cos I hate u." That's hot! Soooo in love with this song!!

Also Hate U (Quite Night Mix) and (Extended Version) is sweet as hell man, I cant even explain how much they mean 2 me. I play the shit out like a mother fucka! The Quite Night Mix's horns is incrediable, Eric Leeds is the shit.

Great song, extremely funny and creative concept, and killer guitar at the end.

You gotta love this song, it's so deep. It has many levels to it. I think everyone can relate to loving someone, eventhough u hate them. But deep down inside u really love them? if your a true fan, you know exactly what he means!!!

i LOVE this song... if any one song defines classic Prince songwriting, production, and performance, then this one is right up there in the top 5 or so.

I remember...when I bought the " hate U" maxi-single back in 1995 I was playin' it over and over again for days... I still love the song! The guitar solo at the end is one of his best ever!
