"5 Women" That song to me is just so incredibly FUNKEE!! Everytime I listen to it I am
amazed. I think that song has been slept on. Anybody agree? and do you have other Prince songs that are incredibly funky but don't get recognized as such? "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

It has always reminded me of a cross between B.B. King's "The Thrill is Gone" and Al Green's "Love and Happiness". As far as other funky songs that don't get recognition, probably most everything on The Vault album, especially "It's About That Walk" and "Sarah".

I love this song, it was given to Joe Cocker, I wonder what that version is like

Yeah, I keep hearing he gave it to Joe Cocker but I don't think Joe could do
it any better than the version P does on The Vault. Amazing song, he even has the instruments perform in a way where it sounds like they are sad all the way through also!! "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

It sounded almost identical to Prince's version. "But what of black women? . . . I most sincerely doubt if any other race of women could have brought its fineness up through so devilish a fire." -- W.E.B. Du Bois --

It sounded almost identical to Prince's version. It's missing the horns that are on The Vault version though. if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron

Yes, especially the BB King reference, its the same chord progression. I always play these two songs on the piano.
