Which one is better? To me as far as Prince songs Adore is one of the most quintessential Prince
songs of all time. I think that is like one of the most classic ones but any- way with me feeling like that and after my last post it got me to thinking which Ballad is better or the best? Is it Adore (which I think is his best of all time) or is it Scandalous, Insatiable, Do Me Baby (full version, which I think is no.2 all time), International Lover, or One Kiss at a Time? Or do all of you think it may be something completely different? Talk about a career that man has had and is having, usually if lucky a person can name only on great song of a type but with P he's got multiples in all kinds of different catergories! "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

I think Adore is more of a classic love song or ballad.
I always thought it would be a beautiful song for a wedding. The lyric "Love is 2 weak 2 define just what U mean to me" is so sweet and loving. Songs like Scandalous, Insatiable are "sexier." They're the type of songs to listen to for a mood with a loved one. As for which one os better, that's a hard choice because I like all of them.

To me Old Friends 4 Sale and Joy In Repetition also work as quintessential Prince song.

My friends had a CD player hooked up to PA system in the church when they got married and had Adore played when signing the marriage register. Was amusing hearing the line "I ain't fucking just for kicks" in church! -----------------------------------------------

Thanks for that title. Thats one I can include on my Cd. How's about "I love you but I don't trust you anymore?". That would be a great one lyrically anyhow I think. Heartbreaking Lyrics. Also included in the heartbreaking lyrics category is Gotta Broken Heart again and Still Waiting and OH MUST include "When You were Mine". That's Prince for ya. Once ya start listing its hard to stop at just one. [Edited 7/8/05 12:56pm] "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

I would also include the duet with Angie Stone, "U Make My Sun Shine". It's a very beautiful love song in the "traditional" sense. Also, "She Loves Me 4 Me". You're right, once you start listing, it's hard to stop at just one.

savior or extraordinary.
Talking strictly love (not sex). Adore has been cheapened in my eyes by overuse and its constance reference. Its just too accessible. I still love Adore, but the sentimentality has just flown out of it for me. Dynamic Savior Said: Also, do you think that ugly people are God's cruel joke on humanity (like the platypus and the heterosexual) or another form of population control?
