Purple Rain Fame - where are they now? After another viewing of Purple Rain on DVD, I was wondering what had happened to all of the lucky "extras" who filled in the First Avenue club scenes during the filming. Not the stars, mind you, just the extras in the performance footage.
I count at least 50 extras, possibly more. Surely one or more of them lurks here at the org. If none of them are here, where are they now? Were they SAG members or just lucky fools who were in the right place at the right time? It shoulda been ME! "When they tell me 2 walk a straight line, I put on crooked shoes"

well we know that one of the dancers at the First Avenue (who performed during the Time's set) was Kirky J... and nearly 8 years later would become a dancer for Prince, his drummer, and producer. "That...magic, the start of something revolutionary-the Minneapolis Sound, we should cherish it and not punish prince for not being able to replicate it."-Dreamshaman32

I spotted the lead singer from 'tribute' band 'Ready For The World' just before Prince started strumming the first guitar licks of Purple Rain. "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."
