I am all into burning longer versions of existing albums at the moment. I made a version of Graffiti Bridge ages ago with just the Prince songs, added the old 86 version of We Can Funk, Prince's version of Data Bank, and the remixes of Theives In The Temple and New Power Generation. I listen to this all the time and never touch the released version.

Now I am starting to do this with the others. Last week I made "A Longer Parade" (original title I know)...tracks went like this:

Anyone else do this? What are some of your home-made Prince albums? I am working on A Trip Around The World at the moment. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I like the list but personally would prefer to see "Good Love" (great song but not a good fit for me) switched out with "An Honest Man". Looks like a great collection in any case

For Parade, I think I amalgamated the early configuration, with the released version for CD1 inc. extended versions, and put the the Kiss demo, Mazarati's version and stuff like Sexual Suicide on disc 2.

I like it but for one song: the original version of Girls and boys is one of my fav prince songs, all songs on your cd are studio except for that one. I'd change that definitely!

My 'Parade' one I renamed "Music from the Motion Picture: Under The Cherry Moon"
and only included tracks credited in the movie....

I had done this to Parade also, just adding extended versions and All My Dreams, though I threw it away because I got the boots in better quality.

HEY! Cool responses. I chose 4 Those of U on Valium live version of G&B only because I like that version better AND I wanted to change it up by that track since the 1st 4 tracks are the same as the album.

I included Good Love for 2 reasons...it always reminded me a bit of Love Or $ and vibe just reminds me of this album. The rest imo speaks for itself.

Finally completed A Trip Around the World. I'll do a track list later when I get home from work.

What would you guys do to Around the World?..just curious.

I did an expanded version of Purple Rain once I more or less preserved the tracklisting of the original, replacing some of the songs with the extended versions, and then added the others after ala The expanded reissue of Jimi's Are You Experienced?

So, yes, I left off Temptation mainly cause I hate that whole part where he "talks" to God. The whole song is lame imo though...Besides I always have thought The Ladder should have closed that album anyway.

at one point I came up with an expanded Sign o' The Times but now think that Sign O' The Times is fine as is and decided to use the Dream Factory/Camille/Crystal Ball material to construct a sequel album that parallels SOTT in structure and length it would look something a-like a this
