Maybe he talkin bout Mani and her ex-boyfriend. Mani could have had a boyfriend when she was workin at Paisley, before Prince swooped her up. Mani might have voiced one day, that her man was an asshole, and Prince ran downstairs to write a song about it. Blue  | |

Nope, I think it was defanately Mayte, remember the part in the song that goes "Hangin round your neck like a cheap gold chain, he don't deserve to say that he ever knew your name." Remember the Tommy Lee special where she didn't know how to light the grill???? She goes on to show everyone
her little engagement gift from Tommy, a cheap gold chain hanging around her neck. Girls what man is going to give you a necklass as an engagement ring????? It didn't even seem to have any diamonds blinging in it eighter. [Edited 7/6/05 19:00pm] I'm just a junky for the sound. | |
