"Strange but True"

Lately, I've been playing this song a lot. I've always liked it but now I can't get enough of it. The groove is so infectious. I'm surprised that I don't hear too many people speak of it. Is it a case of a great song lost in the mix of a mediocre album or do people generally not like it?

Also, there's a part in it that reminds me of a section from another song. Which one is it?

Probably my fav song off that album. Kinda reminds me of the beats and attitude of "Irresistable Bitch," "Lady Cab Driver," "All the Critics Love U In New York," and the 1999 album in general -- which happens to be my fav album... so yeah, I guess that's why I like "Strange But True" so much.

It's good. Nothing great. A little too plastic.

Whenever I play Rave and come across this track, I think, oh yeah, forgot about this one. It's okay but not amazing or anything.

The drums to me sound very similar to the drums on 'Eye Like Funky Music' on Newpower Soul. Check it out, you'll see that I'm vaguely right.

This is probably my all time favorite song!! I'm glad someone finally started a thread about it. It's the FUNKIEST, most FUTURISTIC and AMAZINGLY COMPLEX thing he ever created!

Rave was the first "new" album that came out when I first started following his music. This was the track that probably cemented me as a fan for life

Listen to this one with headphones turned up real loud...

all negativity bows...

cool
