Think back to December 31,1998 did u play 1999 all night long?

guess I forgot, didnt think to, but I did retire it Dec. 31, 99, I wont listen to it anymore

Get this, I was playing this guessing game in Spain, you know like 20 questions. They get to question 15 and the clue was something along the lines of party song of 1999 New Year's eve parties and they never got it. At the end of the game they said that Purple Rain was much more popular I couldn't believe it!

No. I neither played it on 31 December 1998, nor on 31 December 1999, since neither was the night before the turn of the millennium. I did not play it on 31 December 2000, the real eve of the millennium, because I never really liked the song, thus explaining why I didn't play it when it was originally popular.
