Don't you think it is kind of wierd prince is hanging in LA so much he had never like hollwood. And Mayte is home is there now to.hmm! Makes me wonder!! Any thoughts on this?

none what so ever, there are thousands of people in LA and the fact that mayte lives there is coincidence. Lots of people live in the same city as their ex but that doesn't mean jack!

I sometimes tend to think that every studio influenced his sound in a very particular way, Thunder for instance does sound different than the other songs on D&P...

Personally, I couldn't tell the difference between tracks recorded at different studios. Some of his 80's material has a certain sound, but I think that is more to do with the less advanced technology of the studios and instruments back then. I guess if you went to a studio that hadn't been modernised for a long time, it would actually force you to create music with a certain 'old style' sound. Somebody posted that with the next album Prince is attempting to create music that will satisfy 'old fans'... maybe that's why he's in LA?!

With Paisley Park, Prince created a studio that was perfect for himself, so really he shouldn't need to go anywhere else to record, but I guess if I was a millionaire and could afford to live wherever I wanted, I'd spend some time in different places too. A lot of celebrities like LA - birds of a feather flock together, and all that.

hey when you look at prince's past he has always liked going to l.a so it could and could not mean something but who know's maybe your right you would have to ask prince
