The original version is too slow and too irritating. I sped the original 4:13 up a bit and now it sounds waaaay better.

Do you really like Witness with just Prince? I think it's a thousand times better with the girls up in there. That Just Prince version is just weak weak weak!

No! It rocks like a thousand times better without the horns and the over-imposed backing vox. It is much tighter and somehow fits the message better when it's bare and a bit angry. It did not need to be glammed up, imho...
But I like the other version as well, except Prince later reworking, which is just silly.

Then he gave that recording to Wendy, Lisa and Eric and they added stuff.

After that Prince rerecorded it and made it a sort of lame version with a silly beat. It has the "Listen, Cash" stuff in it, I believe. I never listen to it, it is so bad.
