Day jobs! Okay, I know Prince was 'workin' part time in the five and dime', but is there any evidence of Prince having worked an actual job, in the early days?
I've read DMSR and 'A Documentary', but I don't recall any info on this. I'm pretty sure P used to babysit his younger siblings and cousins and stuff, but was he ever a bag boy at the supermarket? An usher in a movie theatre?? A telemarketer??? Heh heh... picture it: "Hello?" "Owwwww-AAAHH! Wanna buy a subscription to The Post?" "No."

I don't think Prince or his wife Manuella ever worked, actually 'worked' for money. Rather, I think they took advantage of a situation. The part that they took advantage of was: US: using the money that we worked for to indulge themselves with.

Okay but some peeps might not call that 'WORK.' Well Mani did work for Prince other then selling water. She was totally in charge of planning the celebrations which was probably a pretty major task and she also designed some of the items that were sold on the tour amongst her other personal assistant duties. Before she and Prince were hitched she was ALWAYS at Paisley working very late hours. Other staff members I knew told me she was very hardworking. You're pretty judgemental. Plus I would assume she didn't make it through high school or college without working at all.

Sorry, but it was too real to pretend, Mani thought she was 'workin' when she climbed into the almight 'chair.'

actually mani did work for the brotha before they got hitched. Until Mani appeared on the scene it seemed to be about music. After that it was all about a j0b and gettin paid.

I think Prince dropped his first album when he was 17. When did he actually have the time for a job... that was it.
