I Love Musicology it is Prince's best album in years. People don't know it was nominated for 3 Grammys and won two. This album shows that Prince will never stop rocking and making music that inspire,relates to our life,and is funky. I enjoy Musicology video and Call my Name. But I'm not sure about Cinnamon Girl it does not really show Prince in the whole video. Maybe he was going for effect,in this case it did not work. He should have made Life of the Party Video, I love that song. Maybe he still can there's still time. I love the pictures of Prince in this album they really capture his fine self. To be 47 years old dang he's fine. As Prince would say Livin the Life of the Party We Gonna Do It Right.

I like it

Not love but, I do like it. The Marrying Kind is my jam.

I like this album and it's better than 99% of the music out there, but 4 a Prince album..it's pretty vanilla....

I still enjoy this album a lot. I knew to prepare myself not to expect the second coming of 1999 but for where he was and what he was set out to do, he made the right album for the right time. The tour was just the icing on the case.

I love ½ of the Musicology album, here's how I would rate it:

Musicology - 9 (cool track, I love it)
I,C,P,C - 9 (funky, nice guitar)
A Million Days - 8 (I love this)
Life O The Party - 3 (worst song, I usually skip this)
Call My Name - 9 (Beautiful melody)
Cinnamon Girl - 7 (an ordinary rocker)
What Do U - 8 (I love the old drumsound)
The Marrying K - 5 (Boring)
IIWTMIUL - 5 (Boring)
On The Couch - 9 (I love this sweet song)
Dear Mr. Man - 7 (Okay)
Reflection - 5 (Boring)

At least Musicology gave P a lot of radio airplay again - and he went into the top of the charts - In Denmark he entered the Top 40 at #2, that has never happened b4 afaik.

Musicology - 6 (nice track, he just did it a dozen times before, and better)
I,C,P,C - 6 (funky, nice guitar, grating after a while, ages quickly)
A Million Days - 8 (another attempt at a new "dolphin", but still cool)
Life O The Party - 3 (horrible song)
Call My Name - 8 (good vocals, nice melody, a stand out on the album)
Cinnamon Girl - 5 (cool music, ruined by trite cringeworthy chorus)
What Do U - 8 (despite some horrible lyrical lines a cool groove, fresh)
The Marrying K - 5 (lame, done this before, but better)
IIWTMIUL - 5 (lame, lame, lame)
On The Couch - 7 (sounds like a segue more than a song, still rather good)
Dear Mr. Man - 8 (one of the few bad things about it is that it is too short)
Reflection - 9 (best song on the album. simple beautiful and personal)

Reflection - - It's OK, very 'naff' sounding, like Emancipation/The Truth, but the song is decent, just let down by that.

Musicology - 7 (grows on me more everytime i hear it - live on snl with real horns is much better than on the cd (live in uk so missed the tour))
I,C,P,C - 1 (doesn't even deserve one.. sounds like he's making it up on the spot - worst track on the album in my opinion - skip it everytime)
A Million Days - 8 (i enjoy this)
Life O The Party - 8 (great track - prince invented this type or track with housequake)
Call My Name - 8 (good vocals, nice song.. sounds gd on the album)
Cinnamon Girl - 6 (gd track.. cldve been made better though with better harmony in the chorus and a eye-watering guitar solo instead of that lame one)
What Do U - 2 (helllooooo... can everyone say drum machine?? ive heard this all before)
The Marrying K - 4 (its ok - id call this filler to be honest but its not terrible.. wld be a welcome addition to another artist's album)
IIWTMIUL - 4 (same as the track before.. gd idea to link them like that tho and record them together)
On The Couch - 3 (jst a product of tinkling on the ivories on a lazy sunday and thinking u have something prematurely)
Dear Mr. Man - 8 (gd song... meaning, insight, funkay)
Reflection - 7 (it's too personal for me. it's a song that he shldve kept for himself - gd song though)

add Vavoom on to this album and it make it sounds oh so much better and diverse

i liked it for a hot second, then i grew bored of it.
