Definitely one of the most unique songs in his catalog. Never thought he would write one that sounded like that, very very cool song.

i don't think it's hateful as much as lamenting the sad state of pop music, and the public's "fascination" with pop stars in general, though MJ takes a slight dig. A few lines:
