seriously, I mean if you take all the songs princed relsesed (don''t count repats on GH albums) how many would there be?

Also is there a guess about how many unrelsesed tracks or "rare" tracks like Wonderful Ass?

no one knows for sure, but about 117 unreleased songs are circulating,
so the actual figure is going to be higher than that (probably by at

OK not counting GH double ups and taking into account demo/studio albums such as "A better place to die" npgmc albums and those other oddeties such as "chocolate invasion" and "slaughterhouse" and dont forget all the songs his written for other artists Martika,tevin campbell,jill jones, ingrid chavez,kim basinger and oh yeah do we count albums written under alter egos.....hmmmmm maybe we should just ask HIM next chance we get....i doubt even he knows off the top of his head and there are WAY more than just 117 tracks unreleased. goodluck.

when sign of the times came out i bought a magazine with some prince facts in it and an interview. now i haven't looked at it for a really really long time but i recall prince saying that he had over 700 unreleased songs in the vault at that time. I dont know how many of them have been released since then.

There are just over 1,000 known Prince songs in existance.
(obviously there are many more in the vault that we have no knowledge of)

about 667 of these songs have been officially released. With a further 117
or so unreleased tracks circulating on bootlegs and amongst collectors.

So the earlier versions of Tick Tick Bang, or We Can Funk don't count, even though they are circulating, because they have been released. Likewise, something like Witness 4 The Prosecution has 2 unreleased versions, I would also assume, they count as 1 in the "unreleased songs" question.

Now the number of circulating out-takes is obviously a lot higher with several alternate version of released and unreleased songs that are out there.

How many unreleased CD's does he have? I thought there were maybe 20.
