Songs that would sound great BUT... Lately I've been playing
lots of albums that I rarely listen to and today I decided to spin The Truth. I'm loving it but while listening to Animal Kingdom I couldn't stop thinking how great this song could sound it the lyrics weren't so BAD! nice message, but man that song is corny! However the general sound of the song is great! I love his voice in it and his playing sounds really unique but the lyrics ruin it for me 
what other songs would be great but something about them is so wrong??? 
bad lyrics? bad rapping? odd cowbell sound? weak percussion? If you will, so will I | |

This urks me--how Prince has ruined such great music.
All those annoying "sounds" on The TRUTH. Sometimes he just adds these unnecessary effects onto tracks to make them more "complex" and they can get annoying. | |

"Animal Kingdom" would have made a nice instrumental. He popped out the bass track on "When Doves Cry" he should have had the decency the pop out the vocal track on "Animal Kingdom", as it really is the only thing that doesn't work in the mix. | |

Me too. I was thinking about this this week too. For me it is The Love We Make, beautiful song, great arrangement, everything about it is wonderful apart from the bloody lyrics. Too religius...as non believer like I am. | |
