I love the look of the CD itself (black, with a frosted-looking batsignal prominently printed over it), which is quite superior to the other more ordinary-looking format. "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person." | |

First i thought this was about Batman in the can...
and i still looked...creepy yeah its a great package. although myself and 1 other person found that the sound quality was horrible! almost as if the pressing was a throw away because it was a collectors disc...anyone else find that? theres distortion on every beat. anyways, nice packaging, great pic of the batmobile ...yeah... Nice package!
There's a (round) booklet with lyrics and different pictures. I haven't noticed the horrible sound quality... but I haven't played it that much (I have the 'normal' cd). Still, I can't imagine... But it wasn't THAT limited, because a few years ago I saw a lot of them in Holland for a very low price.

If your BATMAN 'can' CD sounds distorted it means u have a deleted copy.
The 1st release of these limited editions sold out almost straight away...Warner made another bigger batch to cover demand but all the recordings were faulty (the distortion). This is why the non-distorted ones sell 4 much more than the 2nd batch... I read this a few years back as have a distorted copy 2 !!!

The Batcan. Yep, I bought a copy of this. The sound quality on my disc is incredible, especially when "Scandalous" plays.
I especially think the picture of Prince sitting on the sofa looks amazing. That outfit he is wearing in that pic is amazing too. I wish I could get a poster made of that pic. | |

Didn't buy it when it was released in 89.. I did, however, pick it up a few months ago for 3 bucks at a used CD store.. |

Do the original release and the second one have the same catalog number. I've just listened to mine (for the first time ever!!) and it sounds pretty good to me, but I wondered if there's another way to check. Some people are like Slinkies...
