MY friend said when he went to an award show in the 1990s and he saw Prince next to Montell Jordan and that Prince was half Montell Jordans height. I know Montell is tall becuase in his videos he's always sitting down and when he is standing they got really tall prostitutes for his videos to make him look normal size.

But I don't think Montell Jordan is over 8 ft because only that basketball player Manute Boll was 8 or 9ft and Prince is about 5ft I think.

I know Prince wears big shoes in his videos so how tall is he in real life?

5'2" or 5'3".

In 1993 he was 6'2" with that hair.

I can never understand people's concern over Prince's height. It doesn't make any difference when you have a job like making music. Now if he was a basketball player, his smaller-than-average size might be a valid talking point.

Always in the papers they slip in a 'diminutive' in reference to Prince, 'the dimunitive rock god Prince' it always seems a sly dig at him, trying to find a negative, they are trying to 'diminish' him.

I even remember way back, an interview between bbc presenter Esther Rantzen and Sheena Easton where Esther said, "Prince is quite small, same height as you, is that why you are friends?" to which Sheena replied, "Jesus, he doesn't pick his friends on the basis of height!"

Did you notice that in Prince's early videos he looks really short. Just look back to I Wanna Be Your Lover, the American Bandstand show, etc. And before you say anything, he was wearing heels too. I think he only stopped looking really short in the 1999 videos.

I guess he really figured out which clothes make him look less short. Plus, he realized that he'd look less short if he were very trim. Think about how un-obvious it is in Purple Rain that he is short. They filmed him very well, and has been ever since.

Well I can tell you that when I was on the stage with him in Aug 2005 in Boston he came up to my nose . Now I'm 5'8" with out shoes and I was wearing 3 inch heals that night . He too had on some heals though
Also back at the 2002 celly Prince was wearing flat flip flops and I was wearing flats too , and he was not that much smaller then me . I'd say he is about 5'2" maybe 5'3"

I'v read that he's 5'2 without heels and 5'6 with heels.So If were standn' face 2 face we'd probably B the same hight. Cuz Im about 5'6.

well when i saw him close up in paisley park, the first thing that crossed my mind was "f**k me, there is prince.....christ he's small" but he is perfectly in proportion...he has the built of an athletic teenage boy.
