Ok what the hell happened here? I read she went to Paisley Park and Prince was verbally and phyically abusive to her. I remember her saying that he scolded her for not dressing/looking feminine. And he sent her limo away so she was stranded at Paisley Park. What is the story here? Does anyone have that link where she talks about this?

Sinead is a very talented yet confused woman ,i don't believe the crap she said about Prince .

As much as I respect Sinead's talent and her as an artist, I must say I believe her to be a bit...unstable.

That said, the story I heard back when this ALLEGEDLY happened was that Prince and Sinead were at his house and he wouldn't allow her to leave when she wanted to, and that he was being verbally and physically threatening and scaring her. She claimed at the time (at least, in the account/s I read of this "incident") it was because Prince was upset and jealous of her success with her version of "Nothing Compares 2 U".

She issued a statement about this alleged assault to MTV through her spokesperson or PR person or whatever, and Prince denied the accusations.

I didn't hear much more about it all until I later read she'd revised her story that Prince had "assaulted" her that night, instad claiming they'd really merely been horsing around and having "a pillowfight".

As I stated above, I like Sinead's music but the woman herself is a bit bonkers, imo.

this i will say, most of what sinead spews comes from some form of truth.....


she is hated hated hated by many catholics (even to this day)...yet why did she tear his picture up? because he refused to step in and investigate priest molestation cases....

further more...prince himself issued a statement via love41another (damn, remember when prince used to actually communicate to his fans via the net? wow...npgmc does really suck..) that he had more compassion and understanding for sinead's ways after viewing her "behind the music" special...

so, that leads me to think that, yes, prince was a jerk and probably did go at her (but probably not to the extreme that sinead claimed) and that prince was soomewhat apologetic (sic?) for his behavior.....

and sinead probably became a stronger woman for it...

and dont give a fuck what people think of sinead...she has convictions..and she fights for peace and justice....if half the lazy ass muthafuckers in this world gave 1/10 a care like sinead did our world would be a much better place.....

and to think catholics to this day still hate her....hypocritical pieces of SHIT!!!

Did Prince hit a ping pong ball into Sinaeds crotch? I heard that he did that to some artist who came to Paisley Park.

Sinead doesn't use toilet paper either.

More likely Sinead had a little tiff with Prince when they met and went on to wildly exagerate what actually happened. In this type of story, it's always telling that everything is about what the alleged aggressor said or did, with the actions of the alleged aggressed person not mentionned. Sinead has an history of saying provocative things outside of her music. I always thought she was obviously courting controversy, from tearing up the pope's picture to "coming out" as a "lesbian" (whatever happened to that?).

I knew about the Prince story and of course her ripping up the Pope's picture. I didn't know that she ripped it up because the priests were getting wawy with molesting boys.
The recent scandal-they way that was handled by the Pope was DISGUSTING.

I think it may have been some weird stunt too. He thanked her in the notes of D&P and then Sinead said the whole thing never happend. What we do know is that Steve Fargoli who was P's old manager was Sinead's manager and it was his idea to have Sinead do "Nothing Compares To You and we know that Steve and P were suing each other around that time. So who knows if the incident too place if it did not have more to do with Steva and Prince.

As far Sinead being crazy I guess we would all be crazy if we had been abused by Nuns. Cut her some slack and put the blame on the Catholic church were in belongs.
