Was Purple Rain (the song) inspired by Dylan's 'Knocking on Heaven's Door' ?

2 me the similarities are:

the chord structure (perhaps the same chords as well?)

and also

the anthem vibe behind each song.

What's your take? Or do you not see any similarity at all?

According to Dr Fink it was inspired by Bob Seger's material. He was 'challenged' to write a rock ballad that might appeal to a Bob Seger fan.
