what if prince had a teen aged daughter around the time he was "christening" Mayte. What if that same daughter was in her mid twenty's now? what would she think of Mani?, how would that impact the way he views women and his choices?. When i look at his dating behavior he strikes me as very small, ordinary even, rich old men like little girls it's an accepted norm in society..to the victor goe's the spoils etc . Could our man even deal with an accomplished fine ass woman in her forties who looks just as good for her age as he does?.

altavista-not all men are like that. I'm far more interested in women much older than me(I'd date women more than ten years older). Women my age and younger lack the maturity I look for.

i like older women (i'm 37) and i also have a teenaged daughter. My relationship with her mom has a lot more texture and equality now that she is now longer who i idealized her to be. Equality breeds a higher form of acceptance, love? perhaps. My teen daughter (16) is very protective, intelligent and outspoken, she thinks she's the fucking boss of me LOL. I've developed friendships with much younger women ( who might have found me cute for my age) but they always seemed to morph into a situation where i was sincerly trying to look out for them, not do them. I just think that this is one of the things that i dont admire in him, but it's cool because it humanizes him at the same time, we're all weak in ways. It seems like on this site he is lionized for being so intuned with "women" and that's a myth. Prince is in tune with young, exotic looking women of a particular physical body type which pretty much excludes 99.9% of women.For all we know Sheila was the love of his life but started to lose him as she aged.Trust me, if he had a teenaged-adult daughter she would call him on his shit much like Laila Ali rebelled against her fathers rigid gender ideals, it's a part of life.

when you have a younger woman showing interest in you, why NOT pursue it? it's not so much that Prince is hunting down younger women -- they find HIM.

I'm sure this is going to be wasted on this crowd, but here are my thoughts on the topic anyway...

If Prince had a teenaged daughter around the time he was "christening" Mayte that would have meant that he would have become a father sometime in the mid to late 80's. I feel that fact alone would have given Prince a different mindset during the years that followed. Being a parent has a way of doing that.

With that being said I don't think Prince would have been dating someone so close to his daughter's age. I feel Prince is the type that would have put his child's needs and mental well-being above his own and would have lived his life accordingly.
