The first rehearsal here is largely a run through of the Lovesexy set as it was right at the beginning of the tour with 'Positivity', the '80s medley' and 'Chain of fools' ending the show instead of 'Alphabet St', which was still in the main set at this stage. 'When 2 R in love' is also played in full. The second rehearsal is much earlier and there's a lot of work being done on various parts of the show. At one stage the band play the album version of 'Controversy' so that they can get an idea of how it goes! Together these rehearsals give a great insight into how the Lovesexy show took shape, and even if that is not of particular interest the quality of both the sound and material is so good to make this essential anyway.

i have a rehearsal tape where he does "the sex of it" later recorded by kid creole and the cocnuts.he also does a track that he later gave to nona hendrix.

The 30 minute Alphabet Street instrumental from the first set gets regular play it's so damn funky!
