Fave song @ the moment ..MOUNTAINS I gotta admit after listening to parade and all his 80s albums,i really love MOUNTAINS..
mayb it was also after seeing the film clip on the utcm dvd ,but that song is ,arguably,one of his best ,, ,especially the horn solo part where the drums have the snare hitting the offbeat ..that part really hits me hard | |

Love this song too.

The 12" is awesome - the track is the same but it rolls over into an exteded instrumental. I loved the days when P's 12" 's were extended, rather than remixed. | |

WOW! I am glad I am not the only one who loves this tune! Everytime I see mountains (I live by one, for gosh sakes!) I can't help but hear this song in my head!!!
I loved the video too, especially when they descend from the sky... the b/w & color versions... Prince's dancing...the horns... Lisa blowing the hair out of her face... the balloons... WOW! AND - someone made a comment earlier about the 12" being an extended version and how they missed that, rather than the crap remixes they do today. I cannot agree more! Man they did some awesome throw-downs and I really miss that about music AND PRINCE today. Great thread!!!! | |

whats the opinion on the horn section where the drum plays on an offbeat ..i once read on the org regarding that and sum 1 said that that part of the song sompletely ruined it 4 them ,,,no way!!!!!im glad so many feell as i do,,ots my fave prince song @ the moment | |
