ME! ME!
When he was here for the ONA show at the Detroit Opera House, at the soundcheck I asked him for a hug, and after slight hesitation, he said yes, and told me to come on stage. So I did, hugged him and then kissed him on his right cheek, to which he replied, "Hey, you only said a hug!".
Our next encounter was at the Musicology tour stop here in Michigan. My girlfriend and I had front row seats and the head of security said we could go on stage, if we smiled, danced and didn't touch Prince (which of course, you don't have to tell a REAL Prince fan), and as we went up and danced, Life of the Party he was singing, and he saw me singing the words of the song and came over to me and handed me the microphone, to which I sang 4 verses and then he snatched the microphone back...and he told me I put the "i" in f-i-n-e.
I am still re-living that moment!!

Walked up to him on the first night of the first Prince Celebration in MPLS. Shook his hand and congratulated him on his birthday, he said thank you. I was so shocked that he didn't back away, and that the security didn't interfere, that I walked away again. But the oppertunity was probably there to say more, and just chat with him for a sec.

But then again... what would you say or ask him ?

"Hello... I'm a big fan and have all your albums" ??
How stupid is that ?

I did about in 1998 when i was a mechanic at Northwest airlines. I was waiting by the door of plane waiting for a passenger to get on and then all of a sudden 2 big men and a little man comes by and it was him i was told. ididn't know that until a customer service gent told me theat that was prince and he bought all 12 first class seats on theat plane so no one can sit up there with him. I saw oj simpson too. Goldberg the wrestler an spke to Triple h and chyna from wwf wrestling back when it was good.

If u want to see famous people go to the Los Angeles flight, u see all kinds of stars getting on that plane there or New york.

Stupid u want to know stupid, Last year at hs afterparty at paisley park, i pushed my ex on stage and told him t odance in front of prince cause he is a good dancer. Prince was right behind him and he was shaking and breakdancing and i was like yeah, he going to talk to him and then all of a sudden he get off stage cause he saw 2 girls get off stage. I told him what a wasted opportunity on your part and i stood there all night just for him and he wasted it mostly.

Me too. One week during Celebration at Paisley. I saw Prince and every time he looked in my direction, I would look away like a dumb ass. Even when we sat in that hot ass room listening to Rainbow Children and Prince walks into the room and stands perhaps a foot from me for nearly two hours. All I could do is stare at custom made red-suede boots he was wearing. Everytime I mumbled something to people seated near me; he would hear me and comment, But I could not look up. My co-workers that I dragged to Paisley with me, have never let me live that down. duh

I met him at B.B. King's nightclub during an after-party at last year's Musicology tour. It was a fluke because some rich guy in line bought my girlfriend and I a table in the VIP lounge, right next to Prince's table. I couldn't stop staring at him. He was surrounded by women, Sheila E., etc. They got up to talk to a few NY radio programmers and I got up and listened in. I was surprised at how normal and funny Prince was. And approachable. Right before he left I called out his name and he looked at me like "yeah....what's up?" as if I were just some regular guy, and all I could say, since I was in a state of shock and denial, was "thanks". I held out my hand, he shook it and said "peace brother." It wasn't like I ever really wanted to meet him or even thought I would ever get the chance. But it was one of the best moments in my life. It was funny though because it will probably be my only moment to talk to him and all that came out was "thanks."

I can relate to that... might have something to do with the show @ The Forum in London in '93 when he did a stagedive at the end and me and the other guys at that side of the stage just stepped back and he fell on the floor !!! Wouldn't know quite what to say after that - u think he'd remember??

That is because you are probably a cutie! Hee Hee...actually I would have done the same thing...had the opportunity to say more but would just run away for fear of embarrassing myself and saying too much or saying something stupid!

Tiffy what are you talking about girl? I don't like to hear that talk, don't put yorself down like that! Hey Prince wouldn't probably like me=I'm like 5'6...but that doesn't mean I am not good enough to meet him!! I think I am pretty, charming, and smart but if Prince doesn't think so oh well lots of people agree with me and you need to take some of my additude and apply it to yourself! You have your own gifts and talents and you need to be proud of them and show them off. No one is not "cute' enough to meet Prince he appreciates all his fans hun!
