Ok Ok I know this is a weird out there topic but maybe not.

Anyone know if Prince drinks coffee. Or if he goes to Starrbucks what his favorite drink there is. To me he seems like more of an herbal tea man. What do you all think.

Prince is into all kinds of hot beverages and just like me, he seems to love coffee just as m uch as black tea and herbal tea and green tea. As far as I know he likes the Earl Grey version of black tea...speaking of which, isn´t it a shame that the Earl of Grey and the Earl of Sandwich never copyrighted their "product" ?? At least the Earl of Sandwich´s descendant is trying to get into the Sandwich game, but that´s another story. The Early of Grey has given up on that.
But back to Prince...there was a CD-Rom that came with the Days of Wild book that the Uptown staff brought out some years ago, and there´s this interesting list of things Prince used to eat and drink while on tour, including all kinds of beverages.These things pop up every now and then and are subject to change, as there was also a list years later for the ONA tour, and who eats and drinks the same stuff for twenty years but some things seem to be all time favorites, including tea.
Personally, as a Turk, I LOVE all kinds of coffee..like Italian cappucino or regular Italian coffee or Turkish mocca or German style filtered coffee and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE tea...in fact, I´m having a cup ( or glass ) of it this very minute while I´m writing.

Prince also mentions coffee quite often, and even though he seems to drink a bit more tea and herbal teas coffee still gets much more mentions in his lyrics.

Or that infamous Cold Coffee and Cocaine song. Or that coffee metaphor in What´s My Name off of Crystal Ball.

As far as I know, herbal tea only gets mentioned in that cover of Everyday Is A Winding Road.

There´s also a pic of Prince drinking tea in the dressing room during the Lovesexy tour, guess it´s somewhere in the gallery.

I'm still not convinced. The only thing I can think of is in the "Cream" video -- but was that coffee? And those tour lists of items are for the entire band and roadies -- sometimes we can figure out which is for Prince, but not always.

Prince drinks honey tea, water and freshly squeezed orange juice. He also eats plenty of fruits, veggies, fish and pasta with cream sauce. He's a big asian food fan too.

I could be wrong, but I always thought Prince was a vegan (which means no fish, no cream and no "fonky, fonky blue cheese", lest we forget).

I used to be a vegetarian from 1999-2004, but I started eating fish again in September 2004 for health reasons ( by the way, Kate Bush also etas fish again).

But hey, there are also soy based coffee whiteners, and they are quite decent.

People shouldn´t be dogmatic when it comes to diets. Experience is better than fanaticism. I´d rather eat fish every now and then instead of being a hardcore vegan who one day starts eating tons of red meat again, as happened to three other vegans/vegetarians I know.
Back to the topic.....any more coffee references in his music ??
