I like how people judge songs backwards. song becomes a hit so people then judge it differently because so. Sorry, I also think it´s far from his best. Musically quite simple stuff. Very overrated IMO I never said it was his best. what I commented on is the backward labeling that some people apply to songs, that when they become a hit they aren't as artistic. quite frankly I believe that is a cop out. anyone who would claim that LRC is just a standard pop song, which was implied by the quote I addressed, has more to do with the individual just wanting to seperate themselves from the music masses, to create an image that their musical taste isn't that of the standard pop radio top 50 listener. You see, some people like to believe a song is "theirs," and by liking that particular song they are then different from everyone else. when a song becomes a hit and everyone likes it that is no longer possible. so the listener then degrades that song and chooses another one to identify with themselves. the worse the song the better, as they then can pretend to have more disriminatory tastes, and those of you who don't like it aren't as musically refined and thus like standard pop songs. the implication is that you have no taste, when in reality it is just that the accuser is desperate to create a sense of individuality through music. this message brought to you by logic.

I wouldn´t say that Beethoven´s fifth is simple. Little red corvette yes. I don´t say I don´t like it, though, it´s just that I always expect the best from P
