ELBOOGY	Prince don't hate MJ and MJ don't hate Prince. Now maybe they both irritate each other at times, but hate.....NOT! U,ME,WE!....2FUNKY!

ELBOOGY	I really think that Prince,MJ,and Madonna share a certain kinship bcuz they all share the same birth year and that their music dominated and defined the 80's! They probably keep up with each others careers and talk more than we may think. [Edited 6/18/05 16:53pm] U,ME,WE!....2FUNKY!

Zxrl25	ONE big reason why prince cant stand MJ is because when MJ does a concert he very rarely does it LIVE. Prince ALWAYS does his shows life because he ACTUALLY is that talented. Not to mention Prince can play over 30 instruments. MJ is a fake.

only since 95 has he not sung live. On the 30th anniv concert in 2001 he sung live with some back track , but this was meant for mike.

At the time, there was alot of criticism that Prince was losing his talent, as he is getting older.

There were comments floating around from critics that he could't hit his high notes anymore, and that his youthful appearance was due to plastic surgery, i.e. a nose job.

I never thought about Michael for one second (yes I saw the MJ Documentary), I never even thought about an MJ connection, until someone misunderstood the lyrics, and started posting the rumor (which is still widely believed) that it was about Michael.

I completely disagree with that rumor. Within the context of the song, it has nothing to do with MJ.

I never heard those rumors re: Prince; if that's true, okay then just maybe it WASN'T a poke at Jacko. Or, maybe it was both: a jab from Prince at MJ AND at his own critics? Who knows, Prince is unlikely to explain this (or a lotta other things he has done/said!). shrug
