The album:

The Future
Electric Chair
The Arms Of Orion
Partyman
Vicki Waiting
Trust
Lemon Crush
Batdance

The b-sides/non-album tracks:

- 200 Balloons
- Feel U Up (although obviously not recorded for this project) - Long Stroke / Short Stroke
- I Love U In Me
- Sex
- The Scandalous Sex Suite:
-- The Crime
-- The Passion
-- The Rapture

- Batdance:
-- The Batmix
-- Vicki Vale Mix

Partyman:
-- Partyman Music Mix
-- The Purple Party Mix
-- The Video Mix

The Future (Remix)
Electric Chair (Remix)

Then there's the live version of Vicki Waiting (1995) from the NPGMC Year one downloads, and the single edits of the singles (inc. single edits of both the Batdance mixes).

Out-takes/Unreleased: -- c = circulating / nc = not circulating

c - The Batman Theme (a reworked version of '19 - (Jailbait)', from Madhouse '24' (88) )
c - Dance With The Devil
c - Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic (was one of the first tracks offered for the soundtrack, but was turned down).
c - Electric Chair (Instrumental)
c - Batdance (Original version, a minute or two longer)
c - We Got The Power (dunno if it *really* counts, but it's sampled in 200 Balloons/Batdance).
nc - Anna Waiting (Original version of Vicki Waiting)

If anyone can add to that, please do! nod

Please, describe. I've heard a lot of the outtakes at the time, but there are always problems with multiple titles.

"Dance with the Devil" is a kinda dark approach from P, with him stating

Living fear
The Devil is near
Can you feel his breath?
Grieve for death
The curious child always dies

Along those lines.
Ooh, little darlin' if you're
free 4 a couple of hours (Free 4 a couple of hours)
If U ain't busy 4 the next 7 years (Next 7 years)
Say, let's pretend we're married and go all night

It's from that period, but not from the Batman project, according to all sources. nod

That's why I didn't add it, there was a lot of stuff I could've added from that era, like Love Song, but they didn't pertain specifically to that project.

Lyrics here:

http://www.dtt-lyrics.com...html#dance

Dance With The Devil

Cunning liar, eternal fire
Demon clever, promise 4ever
The curious try and always die

Live in fear, the devil is near
Can U feel his breath? Pray 4 death
The curious try and always die

"U men point those search lights up on the tower right now - move, move!"

Have no Savior, have no faith
Never look 4 Heaven's gate
Devil's children, no love inside
There is a soul, but it has died

Devil's children, no love inside
There is a soul, but it has died
And it cries, and it cries…

CHORUS:
Dance with the devil in the pale moonlight
Put your arms around him and hold him tight
Give up 2 the feeling and don't try 2 fight
He wants your soul and he wants it 2night
Dance with the devil in the pale moonlight
Put your arms around him and hold him tight
Close your eyes 2 love and die

Dance with the devil in the pale moonlight {sampled till end}

"U know, without U I just wouldn't wanna go on"

CHORUS {x2}

Dance with the devil in the pale moonlight
Put your arms around him and hold him tight

"It's as though we were made 4 each other
Beauty and the Beast
Of course if anyone else calls U Beast
I'll rip their lungs out"

Dance with the devil in the pale moonlight
Put your arms around him and hold him tight

.

your sources are unfortunately wrong about this one.
"me touch myself" was recorded on the same day as "lemon crush",neither track
made the movie though and "me touch myself" was discarded,Prince chose to use "lemon crush" on the soundtrack instead.
as far as "love song" goes, that was recorded in May 1988,way before the batman sessions got underway.

D'oh! You're right about Love Song (I definately had my wires crossed there, wrong year even! - My memory is dreadful!) - and I never saw Me Touch Myself on any Batman configuration, but if you say it's right, it's good enough for me.

//

RE: Me Touch Myself and Dance With The Devil, I was never really impressed by either track, I know they're often highly regarded, and I can see they are both individual and interesting tracks, but I can see why they never surfaced, although Lemon Crush over MTM? Blurgh, I never did like Lemon Crush.

I have often wondered if the out-takes from the Batman period were turned down by Tim Burton.

If he had had a use for them and played them in the movie, would theu have made the album?
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I think Dance With The Devil is one of the best. I think it's genious, it and Thieves In The Temple are my favourite non-cd tracks. It's very dark, but perfect.

The Batdance mixes are cool, Go to Yahoo Lauch to see the videos!

Hmm, huh for what? Non-cd? I meant that I don't know where Thives in The Temple is originally on, whether it's a single B-side or what. I first had it only as an mp3, now in Hits.

If you know, please share. I bow to your knowledge.

The following were offered to Burton:

The Future (used in film)
Electric Chair(used in film)
Batman Theme (rejected by Burton)
Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic (rejected, replaced by Partyman)
200 Balloons (rejected, replaced by Trust. B-side to Batdance)
Partyman (used in film)
Trust (used in film)
Scandalous (used in film)

The following were used to fill out the soundtrack, but weren't used in the film:

The Arms of Orion
Vicki Waiting
Lemon Crush
Batdance

B-sides, never intended for the project:

Feel U Up (recorded in 1986 for the Camille project)
I Love U In Me
Sex

The following were songs at one point considered for the Batman album, but not for the film:

Dance With The Devil
Me Touch Myself
