You're welcome smile
Originally it was the B - Side to the 'When Doves Cry' single in 1984
It was also released on 'The Hits - The B - Sides ' cd in 1993

Aye, It's "17 Days", originally the 'flip-side' to "When Doves Cry" smile It was also released on "Hits/B-Sides" anthology back in '93 wink

Interesting that he includes 17 Days in that little interlude there - of course, it was never a radio or chart hit per se, being a b-side - and all the other songs that feature here were.

I doubt it was because it links well, because he has a hundred other songs that could have done the job just as good. So, why did he include it in with such other obvious hits? Is it a teaser and a signal for the new(er) listeners to try and search for those gems beyond the mainstream hits?

I believe Prince has a very peculiar idea of what his 'hits' were

There has been 20 times more copies of "17" days having been sold than any of his albums from the past twelve years.

Largely (if entirely) on the back of "When Doves Cry", right?

Right. And the Hits/B-sides inclusion on top of that.
