Crystal Ball case

when I bought the four cd set Crystal Ball at store in 96 or 97, they were selling them in a regular case and a round case, the cds were stacked, the store clerk said the round case was a rare case , and there were only a few of them, or something, my question is, does anyone else have, or have seen the round cases? if they are rare

Yea I have the round case one, and I think it is really rare but I dunno how much it could be worth these days. On Ebay they were goin for 50 in the round cases when I saw it last so....I dunno really. Mine was a lucky find at a used book,CD, and record store and I only got mine for 13.00 and it was hardly used. But if u find out how much its really worth today let me kno too!

The 5 disc circular transparent case was the one sent out to those who ordered it from 1800 New Funk directly (It included Kama Sutra on CD). It did not have a booklet or cover. The square 4-disc case sold in stores had a cover and lyric booklet but no Kama Sutra.

The 4-disc round version had a cover, didn't it?

I bought the 4 disc version from secondspin.com ($19.99) about a month ago and it came in the round case with a cover/booklet.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Yep. This was sold in stores along side the Jewel-Case version.

As long as the CDs are round, it's all good.

I think that was the cover you could download from the website.

The website was put up as a companion to the set, because the original 5CD version from 1800NF didn't have a booklet that came with it.

The set sold through 1-800-NEW-FUNK did not come with a booklet, so P put one online. That cover is for the NEW FUNK one.

Here's a breakdown: There are three different versions of the CD out there. Retail had a round, petri-dish looking version that contained the three discs, plus The Truth CD and a booklet. Retail also had a traditional square jewel case that contained the same product as the round version.

Folks who ordered the album through 1-800-NEW-FUNK received the round case with no booklet, but all four discs of the retail version and the Kama Sutra album. This is, theoretically, the rarest version.
