Its really a hard pick since each has been different, but the one I had the most difficulty dealing with in the very beginning from just looking at the posters/pictures was the Dirty Mind look. It didn't work for me back then.

For me it was that whole LoveSexy stage, what in the world? I had a hard time playing some of those songs back. Plus, throw in the whole cover deal and it was a hard time trying to tell people that I was a Prince fan and from Minnesota. Gee.

Probably 1994-1995 when his name-change became public and he began to look very adrogynous (not sure if I spelt that correctly).

It look as if he was physically evolving in to the Male/Female duality of the Symbol. The beard, the hairy chest, the overt male heterosexuality, coupled with heavy make-up and feminine clothes and overtones.

It is most evident in those Versace pictures.

Having said that, I liked the look at the time. It was the kind of image only Prince could 'pull-off'. I saw him in concert like that in London for 'GOLD ...LIVE!' in 1995 and he was still highly masculine. It was very strange, but alluring and mystifying.

i think Controversy was kinda weird, he had a tight hair-do in the Controversy music video. and the "Come" album a little bit, his (first & only?) techno song, "Loose" and all the other songs were so dark, it was a great CD though, just a little weird and dark. "Pheromone" is actually one of my more prefered Prince songs.

The whole tora tora episode I liked the music but the hanky over the face was 2 much but the music the band was amazing

Prince is constantly weird. It's hard for me to pinpoint the weirdest moments of his career cause they are all equally weird, yet sexy.
