She's Always In My Hair is easily the best of the two. This becomes apparent when you listen to them on the 45. Raspberry Beret is not without its merit, but its played out and a little too poppy for my taste. It's still a very good song though. But She's Always In My Hair is a brilliant song with a KILLER guitar line, great lyrics and that beat. drool

I remember reading somewhere that She's Always In My Hair is supposedly about Jill Jones. Is that correct?

you are correct!! thumbs up! smile

Though Raspberry Beret is clearly the commercial hit, my favorite is She's Always in My Hair. It's funky as hell and the lyrics always made me wonder who inspired them. Nice to finally find out!

She's always in my hair is my fav.

But did sinead o connor inspire the "built like she was, she had the nerve to ask me if i planned to do her any harm" lyric , i think i read that somewhere?

Personally I like She's Always In My Hair cuz its just better. It sounds funkier and I like the concept of the song. Cuz there was some Bitches always in my hair!! I play She's Always In My Hair much more than Raspberry Beret. biggrin
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

Yes, it's about J.J. and hell yes, that song is the superior of the two. P should have had THAT as his lead off single instead of a b-side.
