1988: rave unto the joy fantastic [link snipped, whether it works or not. posting links to unauthorized music files is a major no-no. so don't do it.  - anx]
i give you the original 1988 "rave" demo. why? for it is a kick ass track! the title alone should have won prince another grammy. i post it here for i hope someone might notice the horrible quality and give me their pristine copy in return. lol btw anybody got the complete "rave unto the joy fantastic" album from 1988? one of those early configurations at least? and i'm not talking about the boot, which contains a bunch of 1987/88 outtakes of different quality thrown together. anyone? (note: i ask this every year or so, but it has never worked.) i believe there are three configurations circulating.. UNDERGROUND / RAVE UN2 THE JOY FANTASTIC #1 (10/18/88) 01. The missing Rave tracks are not circulating widely, i.e., they have never been bootlegged.
I REALLY doubt anyone would put the missing tracks up for free, and I don't expect them too - Prince isn't, so why the fuck should they?!  [Edited 6/9/05 15:24pm] Don't worry, I can't get pregnant - my ovaries are diseased...... | |

Apart from the orchestral flourishes, it doesn't sound so disimilar from the released version (disregarding the poor quality of course). | |

sorry y'all, i forgot the no posting rule (i hardly come here anymore).
but the link worked though. i changed the t's into x's so the link will last longer. folks needed to cut and paste the link into their browser and change back the x's into t's. i thought this post could be a trade.. if i put something up then someone else might help me out. but i guess y'all don't do that around here. too bad for me. lol peace.
