What do you expect out of Prince? OK he's now 47. Has many albums and collaborations and a billion live shows under his belt. Many of us have been long time fans. SOme of us have recently discovered his genius.
After all of this, what do you really expect of him? For me I'm still expecting an album a year for the rest of his life...be it old or new material...released, live or outtakes. I expect that an album of his will be decent and will have 2 or 3 songs that are decent or outstanding. I believe this to be less of a demand...but more of what he'll probably give. *for those of ya'll unfamiliar with such terminology, it's a phrase that folks in my family use at times in a totally non-mean-spirited sense, so don't start poppin off.

I expect him to be perfect in every way and to meet all of my demands, no matter how trivial

FUNK!
I would like him to play that bass guitar somemore, like he has at recent events, concerts and award shows. I expect more colloborations with other respectable music legends like Stevie Wonder. An album (not just instrumental, with vocals) that is rich with guitar playing and solos. An album that if anything, solidifies him as one of the greatest guitar players of all time (because he deserves it, that's why). Yeah, an album every year. Being a Prince fan, you become spoiled and expect something new to put on your Mp3 player every year. More 'Prince' involvement with the NPGMC. I know he has total control and all, but it wouldn't hurt to have a Q&A with members. We've had the opportunity to be in a chatroom with almost everybody but Prince. A Rhonda Smith picture book, with new photos with bass and w/out. (okay, that's my own personal expectation) Blue

I would like to see Prince continue to be Prince..This generation needs an artistic role model.Someone who can actually play a musical instrument and compose songs that will stand the test of time.An artist that will provoke the audience on a sonic, visual, and spiritual level. No one does this better than Prince. larry luvlife

I expect Prince to continue to set the bar high for other performers to reach. And I expect Prince to stay on the DL. Dang, I wish that the brotha would do more interviews! “When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint.
