FUNK ALBUM You know i wonder when exactly is P. gonna release a str8 funk record. i mean all funk. no larry gram on bass shit. i mean all prince all nasty all funk. he has never done an all funk album.
i remeber when lenny kravitz said that his next album was gonna be all funk, but then he release the album that's out now. i personally feel lenny is better at playing funk than rock. and i feel that prince has his own style of funk. and i want a damn funk album!!!! oh yeah--- what do you guys think about the song " wonderful ass" i feel that this is one of the best unreleased prince songs ever. | |

no i didn't overlook that album, and no it's not all funk! there is some funky shit on there. not a great album tho. i'm talking like a lady cab driver type funk. and for yo info, i'm all about the rainbow children i think it's one of his best.
i just love p. when he gets funky. he can play any style very good but "I" just feel him more when he plays funk. and the black album was such a whack album.not very cohesive.entertaining to listen to but can't compare to the rest. | |

To me his bewst funk he wrote for the Time.
I funkiest song for himself has to be WE Can Funk, of course you got George on it. I think Open Book lyrically is a serious GEM too. Wonderful ASS is cool. COCOMF !! | |

Yes! I second this idea. If he can do an entire record of acoustic guitar trax and another of piano/falsetto ballads, surely he could string together an ass shaker worthy of "Days of Wild", "Calhoun Square" and "Now". I ususally wind up making my own "funkmix's" of his stuff. Sometimes I don't want "Man O' WAr" bringing my groove to a screeching halt. "Wonderful Ass" is great, but my version of it has crapola sound quality. | |

You're right lady cab driver is the joint but you can''t have funk without bass as you stated in your previous post!!!! lady cab driver has some serious bass! | |
