Can't Stop, New Power, Question, Elephants, We Can Funk, Joy, Tick Tick Bang, Thieves, Still Would -- all great songs! The naysayers have NO idea what they're talking about.

I like the Prince songs. The rest is what bothers me
it should have been two discs. one fleshed out disc
of Prince tunes from the album as it is, coupled with
a few others, like GodIsAlive, Play, GetOff etc


something like this:

Still not great, but a lot nicer to listen to.

And one with all the other songs, including Oobey Doo
and Eliminate The Negative and such.

I never got into Prince until the Graffiti Bridge movie came out. I was into Kate Bush...

I never got into Prince until the Graffiti Bridge movie came out. I was into Kate Bush, Zappa, Steely Dan etc. and somehow Prince had escaped my notice. So when I saw the movie in the theatre - I was totally amazed and astounded! He woke something inside me that had been dormant and I just gorged myself on Prince for 3 or 4 years. Was wonderful to be able to backtrack and pick up all his earlier work.

I don't listen to Prince now as much as I did during that period. But still regard Prince as one of my top 3 favorite artists - and certainly #1 as the best performer ever!

So - needless to say I really like Graffiti Bridge and the movie!
